Offshore/Inshore Game & Reef Fishing Charters...

This can be a very diverse fishing trip as there are many good fishing areas to choose from.
Departing in the morning from Simon’s Town jetty, we could head up to Cape Point via Buffels Bay, fishing at Bellows rock 2 nautical miles off the Point or travel a further 6 miles to Rocky Bank. Yellowtail and snoek are often in abundance within this area as well as reef fish and cape salmon.
Yellowtail arrive in large shoals off Cape Point annually. This esteemed game-fish is a fast and powerful predator and gives an excellent fight on light tackle. Snoek is a fierce, shoaling predator that is well respected by all who catch it and this is great fishing for the whole family.

During our crayfish season, we often drop
ring-nets in the kelp beds off Cape Point to catch a few of these tasty delicacies for the pot.

Alternatively, we could head into False Bay towards Seal Island which is inhabited by thousands of Cape fur seals. The dense population of seals, in turn, attracts a large number of Great White sharks (a protected species) and one can often see these phenomenal apex predators clear the water while hunting their furry prey.
There are many good reefs in this area that produce kob, cape salmon, a large variety of reef fish, rays, skates and sharks. It is also great fun catching our local squid (calamari) using rods and jigs.
